A menacing demon with sharp fangs and glowing red eyes takes on two demon slayer soldiers, one male and the other female, tasked with protecting the village outmatched them. As he readies the finishing blow, he felt a small rock hit his head. He turns around and sees a child villager who seemed to have done that. The demon didn't even look hurt or upset; instead, he had an impressed smirk on his face and approaches the boy. The rock throwing child steps back in fear but falls to the ground and is paralyzed with terror.
"That was a gutsy move, brat. I think you'll make a great snack." the demon taunted as he raised his claws, ready to tear him apart. The demon slayers struggle to get up but didn't have the strength. The demon prepares his attack, but all of a sudden, his hand was slashed off, and the child was gone. 
"What just happened?" the monster questioned with pure confusion. "The brat was right there and he just vanished. And my hand was slashed off. What is going on?"
"I've seen demons attack people before, but a small child? I say that crossed a line." A feminine voice calls out. Confused, the demon turns around to the source of the voice who could possibly be the attacker. It appears to be another demon slayer with a forest themed haori. And she's protectively holding the little boy with one hand with the other hand on the handle of her slightly sheathed nichirin sword. 
"This woman, her presence is different" the monster thought to himself. There was no chance any demon slayer could sneak up on him like that, but then realization clicks and he glares angrily at her. "She's no ordinary demon slayer, she's a Hashira!" The demon slayer... no... the Hashira then covered the kid's eyes and pushed her sword all the way back into her sheath which made a click sound and the demon suddenly felt his stomach get slashed causing him to screech. 
"She got me as well?! I didn't even see her coming!" The demon thought to himself once again. "She must have done it while slicing my hand and rescuing that brat!" The wounded demon slayers stainingly approached the Hashira and boy.
"L-Lady Midorikawa!" The male slayer stuttered and bowed his head. The female slayer followed suit as they weren't expecting her to arrive. The Hashira, now named Midorikawa, looks at the two with a soft smile on her face. 
"Worry not you two. You both did the best you could given the circumstances." She responded "I can handle the rest." She then looks at the rescued child in her right arm. "It's going to be alright little one. That demon isn't gonna hurt you." Midorikawa reassures him. She then looks at her comrades and hands the boy over to them. "Get him to safety. I will handle this." She ordered. 
"Y-yes ma'am!" both demon slayers responded as they held the kid and hide behind a house and watch the upcoming fight. Seeing that they're out of sight, Midorikawa then looks at the demon with a glare while the demon matches her glare with his own and lets out a frustrated growl.
"You're gonna regret that woman! I don't care if you're a Hashira or not, I refuse to let you get in my way! You have no idea who you're messing with!" The now angry demon exclaimed as his slashed stomach heals and severed hand regenerates ready for battle, but Midorikawa wasn't intimated slightly. 
"No, it's you who doesn't know who you're messing with." Midorikawa responds angrily but her voice still soft. 
"You stand before the Nature Hashira, Shizen Midorikawa!" she responds raising her voice slightly. "I won't allow you or your kind to harm another innocent life! If you dare to spread your darkness..." She then pauses and unsheathes her nichirin sword, revealing a green sword with vine-like engravings and points it at the demon. "Then you will feel Mother Nature's wrath..." another pause and she goes to a fighting stance. "By the extent of my blade!" The Nature Hashira finishes her speech, ready for battle. The demon wasn't scared still and extended his claws, glares with murderous intent, and goes into his fighting stance. With that the battle was on.
