And places it over her shoulders.

She flinches—

Im not okay. I'm so tired of feeling like this every single day. No matter how hard I try or what I do, it's never enough for anyone. I hate how I look, I feel so stupid all the time, and I can't do anything right no matter how much I practice or how badly I want to be better. I'm always depending on someone because I can't handle things on my own, and I know it makes me a burden to everyone around me. I just feel worthless, like there's nothing good about me and nobody actually wants me around. I'm exhausted from trying and failing over and over again, and every time I think things might change, they just get worse. And it's been like this since I came to the USA seven years ago. I've never been able to make a real connection with anyone here. Everyone always leaves me no matter how much I give or how loyal I am. I thought things would get better, I kept telling myself to be patient, that I'd find my people eventually, but they never do. Seven years of being alone and unwanted and I'm starting to think it's just me. That I'm broken in some way other people can see but I can't. That I'll never be enough for anyone no matter where I go or how long I wait. I'm so tired of hoping and being disappointed. I'm so tired of being me.
